Game description

Who could have imagined that in the small town of Gurtos could happen such a terrible crime - on a tree was found the crucified body of a girl, completely cut up. The local police have no versions, so they invited a professional - the famous investigator Auguste Dupin, who offered you to keep him company. All you have to do is to go to the city to immerse yourself in the very thick of events from the very first moments.

Despite the fact that it's only the 19th century, science is actively developing. Dupin enjoys using innovative technology in every area of forensics - there's pathology, dactyloscopy and evidence retrieval, search, and even surveillance. That means you need to learn all these devices and apply them where they are needed, because an investigation should not be put off.

While you were getting to Gurtos, the culprit managed to clean up everything and even killed the main witness, who made a description of the villain. He has an unusual trademark: a red artificial eye. You go through the police archives, find everyone who fits the description and start investigating.

It all depends on the level of difficulty you choose. If you don't want to strain yourself too much, switch to the easy mode, it will still provide you with a fascinating game, lots of puzzles and adventures. During the game you will find a lot of items and clues, and to solve them you will have to perform additional actions. Sometimes the puzzles will even touch your own luggage, so be ready for the exciting tasks.

Qualitative graphics, intricate plot, and inserts reminiscent of excerpts from mystical thrillers await you. So you'll feel the atmosphere of Edgar Allan Poe's books from the inside. There will be riddles and puzzles, and even chases, not to mention all sorts of discoveries and encounters - you may even think that there are too many events.
