Hello Games has announced the release of patch 4.1 for its multiplayer game about adventures in endless space No Man’s Sky. The update includes support for second-generation PlayStation VR glasses and gyroscopic controls on the Nintendo Switch, as well as Utopia Expedition, new discoveries and a starship. The update is called Fractal - let's explore it in more detail.

Fractal in No Man's Sky - what was added?

Like previous updates, this is available to users for free, although the game itself costs money. Let's start with the main innovations: Utopia Expedition will offer you to engage in the restoration of the abandoned Bakkin system, which due to anomalous solar activity has been abandoned by intelligent life forms. But technology makes it possible to repair the space station, establish trade routes and colonize the planets. You can restore this corner of the universe to its former beauty if you take part in the expedition. In addition the "catalog of wonders" added new exhibits - adding them to their collection, the explorers will be rewarded. The Utopia ship with thickened radiation armor will help in your wanderings.

Now let's talk about the technical part of the patch. The game adds support for HDR-monitors, capable of displaying shadows and light as well as PSVR2 headset. The latter is designed for next-generation consoles and provides a full immersion in a virtual world with a first-person view. Finally, an exclusive bonus for Nintendo Switch owners. They will get several missions and features that are not available on other platforms.
