Announcement of a major Warframe update

During the TennoCon 2024 exhibition Digital Extremes shared a lot of interesting news with the public. Among other things, the details of Warframe add-on called "1999" for the sci-fi online action movie by the studio were revealed. In it, the action moves to an alternative past - the end of XX century, where the representatives of the Tenno race meet protoframes and fight with unusual enemies, and at the same time find out the relationship with the group "Skaldra", commanded by Major Rusalka.

The addition will depict the collision of two eras, and the fights will take place not among the fairy-tale scenery, but on the streets of a fictional city. Both worlds are connected by a common plot, so gamers will be able to unravel the secrets of the past. DLC will have a lot of innovations. In particular, there will be a collection of skins "Twins", which will allow you to change the appearance at any time without losing progress and story events. And the syndicate "Hex" will allow you to take tasks from protoframes to mine in large quantities of weapons, items of jewelry and types of power armor. Atomicycle, a powerful and beautiful bike, will allow you to move around the locations.

The addition will introduce the audience to the faction "Skaldra" under the control of Naci Mermaid - a militant girl with a cybernetic arm. She is determined to destroy the Techroth infection at all costs, even if her plans conflict with the heroes' intentions. The presentation from the show contains battle scenes with Naci's subordinates: they carry toxin containers and firearms. It is clear, the main opponents in the DLC will be technocytes - monsters infected with Techrot. Finally, at the exhibition showed the world where the events will unfold - the city of Hölvania. The release of the update is scheduled for winter.
