It came as a big surprise to many that an independent Russian game about cube men in a post-apocalyptic world, Stalcraft: X, made an appearance at The Game Awards main show. Nevertheless, the developers brought to the event an announcement trailer of the PvE mode "Operations," which starts in 2025 and will offer dungeon challenges for a squad of three participants. At the same time for the unusual MMORPG released a patch that adds snow and frost to the virtual world. Let's tell you more about it.

For the first time in the history of the game, the Zone was covered by a blizzard. And since it snowed, the developers advise gamers to update the camouflage of their heroes, so that they do not stand out too much on the white background. Clothing will be needed to fulfill a series of New Year's Eve quests "Voice from the Other Side". The quests are given by the newly arrived scientist Svyatoslav Nikolaevich and the Snowmen from Iznanka. Until the very end of the event you can get a lot of gifts from these characters, but the activity will not be easy. It will be necessary to get to the source of the signal for help and defeat all the monsters on the way. And at the same time avoid the storms raging in the CEZ.

Storm is a new type of global threat, just like the outbreak. It does not cover only two locations - "Lyubech-3" and "Quiet Zavod", and the rest of the map is covered for half an hour. In such a situation, a shelter, a burner, a warming serum and a special armor plate in your equipment will help you. In short, you can survive. And at the same time take part in interesting events. For example, collect winter artifacts, help scientists, study the cluster of anomalies "Protodischarge" or challenge one of the four frosty bosses, including a boar and a wolf. Finally, in safe areas there are Christmas trees dressed up for the holiday - you can stand next to them and look at the garlands.
