Galaxy in danger: a new storyline for Star Trek Online is out

The developers of sci-fi MMORPG in the "Star Trek" universe presented an add-on that continues the story of Terran Gambit. It offers new adventures in space, battles with powerful enemies and rewards for success, including a themed set of items. For now the chapter, called Unraveled, is only available to PC users - about its release on consoles the staff of Gearbox publishing will announce separately.

The events of the add-on take place after the finale of Terran Gambit and the Klingon Civil War. The heroes are placed at the disposal of Admiral Kuumaarke, who is sent on a scientific expedition to uncharted worlds. But suddenly the research turns into a serious danger, because the source of radiation that attracted the attention of scientists causes local violations of the laws of physics. In addition, a fleet of Tholians has been discovered in the mission area, who want to use the anomaly for their research - including the creation of a time machine. The team faces a choice: they can either negotiate with their rivals by trading with them, or challenge them to a fight.

Along with closing the gap in space you can take part in the Looming Threats event and earn a Tholian themed set of items. This kit will allow you to shoot warp crystals and place force shields around your teammates. Two patrol missions and Operation Leviathan also became available, related to the main story of the add-on.
