Steam regularly hosts promotions, when paid games become available for free for a while. This time two projects with multiplayer - Icarus and Age of Water- were marked as "free weekends". In the first one you gather a team of friends and try to survive on an alien planet, and in the second one the world is under water, so the survival of heroes depends on how skillfully they construct boats and handle weapons on board. Let's tell about both works in more detail.

What are the interesting things about Icarus and Age of Water?

The first game on the list offers to land from an orbital station on the surface of a wild planet that has been terraformed but not inhabited. Robinsons of the future will have to fight for life in confrontation with the elements and local fauna, grow crops and build a base, as well as discover technology, create equipment and make forays into uncharted terrain. You can survive both alone and in a company of eight partners, but there is only one mode - PvE. There are no battles between gamers. To try out Icarus for free, just go to the simulator's page in Steam and click "Play". In addition to the gift, the developers offer double accrual of experience points.
As for Water Age, this MMO action game was inspired by the movie Waterworld starring Kevin Costner. Here you find yourself on a huge map, covered entirely by the ocean. To survive in harsh conditions, the heroes need to create ships of different models and sizes, install guns on them and fight with other sea dwellers for resources. Those who will not have time to have fun for free, will be able to buy Age of Water after November 11 and up to November 14 inclusive with a 50% discount.
