A new mode is coming soon to The Finals
Embark studio, where former Electronic Arts developers work, continues to develop its unusual multiplayer shooter The Finals. This time they decided to remember the classics: 5 on 5 battles remind traditional matches in Counter-Strike and Rainbow Six: Siege, only with correction on the design and unique mechanics of the new action game. The mode is called Terminal Attack and should become available after May 2 - let's tell you more about it.
What is known about Terminal Attack in The Finals?
The game already has fights for two teams of five participants - just remember Power Shift. But the peculiarity of the announced battles is that the attack squad must hack into terminals, and the defense group - to prevent it. In fact, the decryption key, which the attacking party must bring to the bollard with the screen, resembles a bomb from CS. The principle is the same: clear the way, set it up, and it's done. Then the sides change places: the one who held the defense gets a more active role, and vice versa.
The battle is fought until one of the teams gains seven victories in the rounds. In this case, during the competition all fighters will have automatic health regeneration and the ability to resurrect allies turned off, and in addition, each will receive one life. Whether the healing beam will be available is still unknown. In any case, this means that "Attack on Terminals" seriously tests the tactical skills of gamers - no one will get a second chance per round. And this is quite in the spirit of the genre's classics.
