The Finals has made it to release

During The Game Awards ceremony Embark studio employees, who previously worked on Battlefield shooter series, announced the official release of their new game The Finals. The public could already get acquainted with this multiplayer action game in the beta version, but now the final version has been released. Playing as participants of the death show, gamers have to gather their team and defeat their rivals in the interactive arena. And all this is free of charge.

In the world of the game there is a tournament with fights to the death, gathering at the screens of millions of viewers. Therefore, the task of the heroes during the match is not just to destroy enemies, but also to gain popularity points. Arenas are made up of destructible elements: you can break windows, blow up floors and walls, demolish individual buildings. Along with the usual weapons and acrobatics elements, it allows you to use different tactical tricks. Each polygon was inspired by real-world locations - in the release trailer, for example, we see the level "Las Vegas", named after the city of the same name.

According to the developers, the rules of combat allow stealth and setting traps, even the character's physique affects his abilities. Among the gadgets you can see explosives with remote detonation, gas mines, night vision devices, shocker and "glitch grenades". On the occasion of the release Embark employees added gestures, smiley faces and other ways to express emotions, and at the same time provided 96 exclusive rewards, 29 of which can be obtained for free - just by participating in activities. Now the game is available in Steam, and the reviews about it are purely positive, although some people complain about the loss of loot left from the last testing.
