Four days - that's how long the multiplayer action game by the Yakutian company Fntastic has existed on the shelf of the Steam digital store. Before the release it was one of the most anticipated games in the world, but after it got a lot of negative reviews and went down - today you can't buy it. The step from love to hate turned out to be so short that it's time to talk about a kind of record. We share the currently known information about one of the most notorious failures of the year.
What happened to The Day Before?
The developers promised a revolution in the genre of survival games after the end of the world and published mesmerizing trailers, where the heroes fight with zombies, collect cool guns and explore the ruins of the city in cars. Is it worth saying that the promises turned out to be empty sound? The first users found out: the scale of the novelty is comparable to only one map from Escape from Tarkov, the gameplay is very boring, there are almost no zombies, and in addition it is full of bugs. And the graphics does not correspond to the advertising materials - everything turned out to be much more primitive.

On the Reddit forum there was information that the action movie was literally assembled from ready-made Unreal engine assemblies, that is, the participation of designers in the creation of the virtual world was minimal. Negative reviews on the page in Steam grew like mushrooms after the rain. According to the reports, the game was bought 201 000 times, and the return was made in 91 000 cases, that is, so far Fntastic employees are on the plus side. But the publisher Mytona has already announced the re-launch of the refund - all dissatisfied people will continue to be refunded. The developers have officially apologized, painted the character on the backing of their tape in clown makeup and announced the closure of their studio.
