Rainbow Six Siege X has been revealed

Ubisoft has high hopes for its current projects - another pseudo-historical action game from the Assassin's Creed series, Heroes of Might & Magic sequel and Rainbow Six Siege development. Presented in February, the game with the subtitle X left the audience in confusion: no one understood what it would be, whether the developers were preparing a separate release or a remake, and how much it would cost in stores. But thanks to the recent broadcast it became clear that it's just about a massive DLC - after June 10 it will be available to everyone for free and, moreover, will make R6 itself conditionally free.

More details on Rainbow Six Siege X

A logical question arises: why do they want to make Rainbow conditionally free? The thing is that not all content will be available for free, but only training, the new mode "Double Front", quick matches, event activity and competitions out of ranks. But if you want to play a ranked battle, you can't do without purchasing (if you haven't purchased a copy of the shooter yet) and pumping your account up to level 50. In general, there will be something to do for both fans of free entertainment and gamers for whom the place in the table is not just a formality. What else will change? First, Ubisoft will completely redesign the interface. Secondly, it will add Dual Front mode, where battles take place in the format "six by six", and the operatives change once a month.

Also right in the game client there will be a section "Cybersport" - you can watch broadcasts, not including Twitch and similar services. The global update expects maps and textures (they will raise the resolution up to 4K), the locations will have much more details. Lighting model, shadows, animation - all this, of course, will also be improved. But the most interesting thing is the promise of unprecedented destructibility of the scenery. If you want to personally experience the updated shooter in action, without investing a penny, you can go to the official website and learn the rules for participation in the closed beta test, which will last until March 19.
