It's been years in the making: Skull and Bones is finally coming out

Pirate action game from Ubisoft, announced back in June 2017, is already close to the day of its release. On this occasion, the publishers have published a large release trailer on YouTube, and also announced the start of free open beta testing, which will take place from February 8 to 11. To participate in it, you need to leave an application on the developers' website. It is stated that the game will be available to PC and console owners on the 16th of this month. Let's tell you what else is known at the moment.

The action of the game takes place in the seas and islands of the 17th and 18th centuries, captured by gangs of brigands. Each user has to gather a team, build a ship and organize the base of his squad somewhere in a secluded place to return there after raids and battles. There will be in "Skull and Bones" and locations-hubs for communicating with other gamers, exchanging loot for resources or getting quests. In addition to the story campaign, which everyone goes through alone, there are group PvE-fights with monsters from the depths of the ocean, joint assaults on fortresses, PvP-battles between two teams in neutral waters and other types of multiplayer activities. It is noteworthy that the enemy's ship is allowed to bombard with cannons as well as to board.

The new video shows in general terms, what to do in the action movie, and at the same time familiarizes with the entourage of the virtual world. The main part of work on the project was done by Ubisoft division in Singapore - its employees paid special attention to the behavior and customization of ships. You can decorate your ship as you like, change the type and color of sails, steering wheel, decorative elements and even get a personal pet like a kitten or a lemur, which will not let you get bored while wandering on the waves.
