Flight of the Albatross is coming soon to War Thunder

Gaijin Entertainment has announced that starting July 24th, a summer event called "Flight of the Albatross" will be launched in War Thunder, an online military combat game about military equipment battles at sea, in the sky and on land. All you need to participate in it is to gain points in matches with fleet battles. As a reward you can get decals, flags, trophies, consumables and even the Italian corvette Alcione. The activity will last until August 7.

The warm season brings to mind the sunny Mediterranean, so the developers chose Italy as the July theme for a reason. To earn rewards, you have to take part in naval matches in realistic and arcade modes. Closing each stage earns you 35,000 points and a prize. And these stages themselves change every two days, so gamers will need enthusiasm to keep up with the pace. Flight has seven stages in total. At the end of the first one, you'll drop a trophy with a random bonus inside - it could be silver lions, boosters, wagers, orders, camouflages, or a bonus account day. And the last one will get you a ship coupon.

The Alcione is a rank 5 corvette that can operate effectively in shallow water and among rocks. At long range, its firepower is unlikely to turn the tide of battle, but if you hide and wait for the moment, 76-millimeter cannons and anti-aircraft guns will allow you to inflict serious damage to the enemy. According to the developers, this nimble vessel can even sink a destroyer. It is also worth noting that all awards must be taken manually - they will not be credited automatically. And to make the coupon for the main prize tradable, it will have to be modified by selecting the appropriate menu item.
