Rust now has trains - just like Metro Exodus
The multiplayer open-world survival game has received an important update. From now on Rust allows you not only to build stationary bases, but also to move along the railroad, collecting a whole train of different wagons. About this and other changes the developers told the official project page - we share the details.
Railroad and other innovations in Rust
The real trump card of the upgrade is, of course, the trains. The rails on the map are randomly generated, and in addition to the main line branch lines are immediately available - you do not need to lay ties manually. Having found the train, a single player or team can fill the tank with low-grade fuel, start the car and go on the road. On the way there will be different types of cars - to add them to the locomotive, just collide with them at low or medium speed, and coupling will occur automatically. During the ride there is no need to sit in the cabin: gamers can freely move around the train and even fight with uninvited guests. It is worth bearing in mind that the speed of the train depends on the number of cars that the train pulls.
Together with the May patch, the game has received other innovations. In particular, there are reports on the circumstances of the death of the characters, the client has been improved and reduced network traffic consumed by automated systems such as watering plants. In addition, for fans of streaming on Twitch prepared a set of drops - gifts for watching broadcasts on Rust.
