There will be more motion capture in Ready or Not
Online action movie Ready or Not, which is called the most realistic simulator of police special forces, will soon be replenished with new animations. To get them, the employees of VOID studio went to their colleagues from Czech company Bohemia Interactive, where modern equipment for motion capture, or capturing the movements of live people, is used. What came out of it, the developers told in an open letter to the fans.
What's going to change in Ready or Not?
The main reason for recording in the mocap studio was the desire of VOID specialists to add more high-quality animations to the game, so that virtual fighters look like real ones. The effects are produced in the following way: actors put on special suits with sensors, perform the necessary tricks, and special equipment reads them to transfer natural plasticity to the characters. Law enforcement officers with ten years of experience in tactical teams took part in this session. The materials created at Bohemia Interactive will later be added to the story splash pages and trailers.
As for the gameplay itself, motion capture in twenty different situations will be used to improve the function of arresting criminals, and false surrender, hostage taking and close combat scenes will become more beautiful. In total, more than a hundred animations and over 25 mousettes have been recorded. Some impressive originality - in the genre of shooters, for example, rarely meet the dependence of gait on physique, but in RoN such will appear. Soon the 4 terabytes of recordings will be sorted, reworked and included in the next patch.
