Krafton has announced patch 25.2 for PUBG: Battlegrounds, which will add Dragunov rifle to the game, change the balance of weapons and map terrain, and bring numerous fixes and improvements. The developers note that some edits can still be removed - it all depends on the reaction of gamers. The update will be released on September 6 for PC and September 14 for consoles, and it will be downloaded in stages, so the service work on the servers may last a few days.

With the update in the shooter will be permanently available SVD. The rifle uses 7.62 caliber ammunition, fires only single shots and does 60 damage at an effective range of half a kilometer. The barrel also supports various mods including muzzleloaders, magazine extensions and a 15x scope. After recent testing, the weapon has been stripped of probabilistic damage, leaving only base and maximum damage at 75. The AUG cannon was also cut down a bit in killing power, reducing the rate of fire from 750 to 720 rounds per minute. In addition, the developers decided to remove the tactical equipment option for a while.

As for the changes to the maps, from now on there will be fewer sand and snow storms, and the terrain will be rid of elevations that give a strong advantage in an ambush. Intense Battle Royale mode will remove the first-person view, leaving users only the third-person view - TPP, and at the same time will make changes to the training. Also announced a new type of skins for weapons - Chroma. Krafton also reports about the optimization of the action on PC, where just in case there will be a system for tracking GPU failures.
