PUBG: Battlegrounds anniversary and roadmap
One of the most famous "battle royale", PUBG: Battlegrounds, turned six years old. On this occasion, employees of Krafton have published a roadmap, which shows the plans for the development of the project. Changes will affect all components of the game, starting with the balance and modes and ending with maps, modifications and some features that were not previously in the fighting game. In particular, we are considering adding destructible environment. But let's discuss everything in order.
What's in store for PUBG: Battlegrounds in 2023?
The developers start with the fact that they intend to revise some aspects of the four main modes. In the "Normal Match" they will try to reduce the users' stress - by speeding up the appearance of items, transport and blue zone. This is done so that gamers spend less time collecting equipment. Also will be added an option to revive the fallen by teammates. As for the ranked matches, they will move all the 8-km maps, and also add folding shields and pickups, which were previously only in standard mode. At the same time, the new revival system in these battles will remain unavailable. But in the ranking will increase rewards for success.
Rotation of maps will be applied to both regular and ranked battles, and their cycle of change will be reduced - now, recall, its duration is a month. Erangel and Sanok will remain fixed in the set, while Miramar, Deston, Vikendi and five other territories will be rotated. In addition there will be a map codenamed "Neon", the details of which are not yet known. Apparently, it will be urban and with a large selection of vehicles. Also Krafton intend to deal with the balance of 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm weapons, update the anticheat system, create clans and consider changing the physical model - with the destruction of the walls from the explosions.
