Project Loki - a mixture of League of Legends and Apex Legends

Former LoL producer Joe Tang, whose departure from Riot Games became known in the fall of 2020, announced that his new Theorycraft team is working on a new multiplayer game. At its core are the mechanics of the genres of MOBA and "battle royale". The project was codenamed Project Loki and was even glimpsed by the public as a pre-alpha version. Gamers can join the testing, which will start very soon.

Trying to describe his studio's new game, Tang said that it is a mix of LoL, Apex, and Smash Bros. It has cartoonish graphics somewhat reminiscent of Fortnite, and the gameplay echoes Dota 2. Heroes, acting alone or in teams of four fighters, fighting on a map that is gradually narrowing. This forces the participants of the match to act more actively, and at the same time use a variety of objects - for example, to set traps, shorten the path of the air or cross dangerous terrain on the train, regularly traveling through the location. Battles are served with a top-down view, character movements are controlled by the keyboard buttons, and aiming and shooting are assigned to the mouse.

According to Polygon, the first testers compared Theorycraft Games' creation to Hyper Light Drifter and Enter the Gungeon.
