Showed a new game from the authors of Black Desert

Crimson Desert was originally conceived as an MMORPG, the events of which foreshadow the scenario of "Black Desert". But then the developers from Pearl Abyss studio revised the concept of their project and decided to release a single-player adventure RPG. Gameplay demo took place exclusively on IGN website - the journalists of this edition even managed to prepare a preview. And simple players can only wait for the release day, which, alas, has not been announced yet.

What's interesting about Crimson Desert?

We are waiting for a gloomy and bloody action in the entourage of the fabulous Middle Ages. The action takes place on the continent Pivel, ruined by long wars. You can't stand alone in this world, so the hero will need the help of partners - only not alive, but under the control of artificial intelligence. That's why the authors of the game decided to refuse from multiplayer. Whether this is due to the desire to save money or Pearl Abyss is really tired of MMO-genre is unknown at the moment. But we know that the main character's name is Cliff. Like Heralt of Rivia, he moves across spacious maps on horseback and fights a lot with sword, including with monstrous bosses. By the way, the similarity with "The Witcher" doesn't end here: IGN employee was pleasantly surprised by side missions.

Judging by the 50-minute demonstration, the fights remind something of Ryse: Son of Rome - there are also QTEs, a lot of feints and ligatures, but everything is decorated with colorful effects in Korean style. On hostile locations there are camps, where the hero can penetrate in search of prey, and the mechanics of social stealth allows you to do it openly - wearing a robber's costume. And if you don't want to masquerade, stealth mode allows you to kill the enemy with one blow - just like in Assassin's Creed. The developers promise a big epic story, but not much is known about it at the moment.
