PlanetSide 2 is changing owners

Online shooter PlanetSide 2, known for its massive battles with the use of military equipment, has been going through hard times in recent years, but it still has a lot of fans. But the financial part left much to be desired, so the management of Rogue Planet Games studio decided to sell their project to Bay Tree Tower company. So the further development of the game will be done by a new team - Toadman Interactive, familiar to gamers from Immortal: Unchained. Perhaps, it will open a bright and interesting page in the life of multiplayer action game.

The new owners intend to actively develop the game they got, and in close cooperation with the Rogue Planet team. The basis for further development is based on three principles: improve the strengths, remove nuances that do not work well, and release as many updates as possible. A roadmap for 2024 has already been published. The first quarter, already completed so far, has been spent working on bugs, communicating with fans, and preparing themed patches. Yes, the Lunar New Year and St. Patrick's Day updates are the work of Toadman Interactive, not the shooter's previous writers. A lot of content and mechanics are scheduled for release in the second quarter, including a new base capture method.

Between the second and third phases, there will be a huge celebration of the game's anniversary, and then the summer events will begin. A unique battle mode will appear, about which nothing is known yet. Toward the end of the year, gamers will be treated to Halloween activities, armor sets, hero themed accessories, and of course, guns. One of the most intriguing messages was the announcement of the next mode of transportation. The developers promise fans that the scope of the released additions will only grow with time.
