Overwatch 2 heroes are being made free

The bulk of complaints about the second Overwatch is due to the fact that in it, unlike the first part, new characters were available as part of paid battle passes. But recently the employees of Blizzard Entertainment decided to reconsider their policy and announced that from the beginning of the next season, all characters are opened for free. Also announced was a map, a change to the "Colosseum" and a Tower Defense style mode for squads of three participants. We tell you what else was revealed from the public address.

The main sensation of Blizzard's open letter was, of course, the abolition of the binding of heroes to battle passes. Every gamer will have access to the full roster in all modes. Nevertheless, in order to unlock some fighters will have to complete training and perform a number of tasks with the test of personal skills. In addition, outfits and skins for the actors will still remain on the shelves of the virtual store. Nothing changes here. We remind you that at the moment there are already 40 characters in the game, including the recently introduced Venture.

Also from the tenth season will increase the number of coins available as a reward for completing missions - from 540 to 600. As for content updates, by the end of this year Clash mode will be released with a couple of maps made especially for it, in Season 11 the Runasapi location will appear and the finalized Colosseum will be presented. Finally, Hero Mastery: Gauntlet mode will appear, offering battles according to Tower Defense rules. A team of three takes part in the battle and has to fight off ten waves of bots from three towers. You can use not only cannons, but also various stationary devices. In addition, there are four difficulty levels - the harder the fight, the bigger the prizes.
