Fortnite's "Nightmares" have begun

The folks at Epic Games have unveiled the 26.30 update for their "battle royale" game Fortnite, timed to coincide with Halloween. It includes battles with monsters in "Onslaught of the Horde", sets of weapons and equipment, events and rewards for them, as well as several characters familiar from other virtual universes. All of this together is traditionally called "Nightmares" and will run through November 3.

Heroes were given several deadly weapons. We're talking about the "Aspen Stake" shotgun, Thorn's vampire blade, which not only wounds enemies, but also replenishes the health of its owner, and the pumpkin-shaped gourd, which has returned to the game. In addition there are magical sweets - bouncy lollipops, marmalade and taffy. With this themed arsenal, fighters can team up to repel the Onslaught of the Horde. During this activity, team members occupy key points in the location to stop the monster invasion round after round. Prizes are awarded for success - a wrapper, emoji or pickaxe. Users who complete the tasks of the season will also receive bonuses. You can, for example, earn jewelry on your back, an emblem for the flag or a unique loading screen.

Not without costumes designed in the style of Halloween. Also gamers will have access to Michael Myers' appearance from classic horror movies and Alan Wake's skin from Remedy's series of games of the same name. Of the minor tweaks, it is worth noting the "Quick Weapon" feature for gamepad users, allowing you to pick up the main item at the press of a button. It is also reported that the online fighter will no longer support devices running Android 9.
