"Revenge of the Rabbit" returns to New World
Amazon Games' MMORPG New World has received update 5.0.2, which brings traditional battles with infected rabbits, integration into the server-side Shards system, improved weapon, artifact, and consumable options, and a bug fix report. We find out what events will start the summer of fans of this game.
What's new in New World version 5.0.2?
You can take part in the "Rabbit's Revenge" activity until June 18. Players will have to hunt infected furry animals in order to get a special chain, armor paint, diamond plaster, mask, mascot, hare chest and emotion as a reward. And PvP fans will be able to try out the new server technology Shards, i.e. "Shards". The developers explain its essence as follows: the program creates duplicated segments of the virtual world to place on one location more heroes without reducing game performance and increasing the waiting time in the queue. This solution is being introduced gradually - first they will try it out in Monarch's Bluffs and Windsward.
In the future, "Shards" will cover the entire Aeternum, so that each location has special PvP-zones, camps and other objects. Also, Amazon Games employees added a lot of fixes to the game's combat system, including refining the stability of blocks and strengthening the perk with the dodge effect. It is worth noting that the bug that led to a musket shot during an attempt to evade an enemy attack has been fixed. In addition, swords, shields, and artifacts have undergone balance tweaks - winged boots, for example, now increase damage by 10%, and magnetic gauntlets, on the contrary, have been reduced in effectiveness.
