MMORPG based on "Game of Thrones" in development?

Korean company Nexon, which has published ArcheAge, Warhaven and other famous online games, may be busy now preparing a multiplayer project based on George R. R. Martin's book epic "A Song of Ice and Fire". This is reported to the public by the website Redanian Intelligence - it appeared on it a note compiled from the words of an insider. Interestingly, ten years ago there was already an attempt to make friendship between the MMORPG genre and Game of Thrones, but in the end Seven Kingdoms was canceled.

The portal, where the first information about the proposed project was published, gives some information about it. First of all, the place of action is the north of Westeros, including the Stark fortress Winterfell and the Wall, behind which the Night King reigns and the living dead roam. Secondly, the time of the plot development corresponds to the fourth and fifth seasons of the TV series, that is, from the moment of Sansa's escape from King's Landing to the unsuccessful offensive of Stannis Baratheon and Jon Snow's murder. He, by the way, is promised as one of the characters - along with Samwell Tarly, Roose Bolton and other familiar to fans actors.

In other words, if the information on the Redanian Intelligence website is true, then the game will have a full-fledged story campaign connected with the events of the popular show. The only change is that neither the appearance nor the voices of the characters will not correspond to the HBO series. Also promised a choice of gender protagonist, and the alter ego of the other sex will remain in the narrative as an important character. Insiders do not give any details about gameplay or release date.
