Naraka: Bladepoint will soon be conditionally free

NetEase staff reported on the recent Naraka Fest 2023 event, where they announced plans to develop "battle royale" Naraka: Bladepoint with an emphasis on swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat. Among other things, we should mention the presentation of a new heroine, gifts on the occasion of the game's two-year anniversary, a release on PlayStation 5 and the transition to the conditional free-to-play format, which will be held on July 13. Here's what we know so far.

Let's start with the upgrades. The developers introduced paired halberds, acting as a heavier counterpart of the double blades. This weapon allows to carry out rapid combinations and throw stunned enemies in the air, and you can try it out right now on the test server. Also, the public showed a female character named Tessa - being a relative of the kitsune, she is able to take on the guise of a wolf and fight in that form. Play for her will be given only on August 9, but it is possible that she will be available in a trial mode. And what users will get much earlier, it's bonuses, timed to coincide with the second anniversary of Bladepoint. Among these are glory chests, legendary fighter guises, and a 40% discount on jewelry items.

However, the main sensation of the exhibition was the abolition of mandatory fees for the game - since July 13, you can have fun in it for free, and on any platform, including the PlayStation 5 console, on which "battle royale" will appear soon. Gamers will get free access to all the content, except for the full set of heroes and appearance types. Those people who already own a copy of the action movie will get special bonuses - gold, exclusive avatars, glory chests and character outfits. You can get these gifts until October 14.
