The second life of Life is Feudal: MMO begins

Due to disagreements with business partners Life is Feudal: MMO was closed, after which BitBox made several attempts to revive it - first as a multiplayer "sandbox" with survival elements Life is Feudal: Your Own, then as a construction simulator with the sub-title Forest Village. But both projects have not caught up with the success of the original. As a result, the publisher Long Tale Games decided to resuscitate the original project, transferring it from Steam to their platform and changing the monetization model.

What is Life is Feudal: MMO now?

In principle, it's still the same MMORPG, the action of which takes place in a fictional medieval world where you start with the lowest and gradually move up to the top of the class power. The main occupation of the heroes in the virtual universe - resource extraction, construction, hunting and, of course, war in different forms, from jousting to the siege of castles with special machines. Even technically the game remained the same - it was not transferred to another engine and did not add some fancy technology.

What has really changed is the distribution model: if before it was conditionally free, now the access is open on a subscription (just under 1000 rubles per month). And not in Steam, where the game no longer exists, but on the official website. Here you need to create an account, download the client and make the first payment to start your feudal adventure. It's worth noting that payment now involves access to a test version, launched in order to collect user feedback and prepare the first patches. When exactly there will be a full-fledged release is unknown, but the developers have promised to do it during 2023.
