Just like old times: "Classic" for Overwatch 2

The creators of the free multiplayer shooter from Blizzard Entertainment decided to make a gift to all gamers - they released Classic mode. In it, the action game acquires traditional features, for the lack of which the project is usually scolded by fans. But now there are battles between two teams of six participants, classic skills and a set of 21 heroes. Unfortunately, the activity is introduced for a while - in three weeks it will be removed. But in the end, everything will depend on the public's reaction.

The first part is already in its ninth year. To mark the occasion, Blizzard is reminding fans how it used to be. If you choose "Classic", you can fight any of the familiar characters, using the original abilities of the fighter in a six-on-six match. There are no restrictions on the choice of roles - nothing prevents you from making up a team with any features, even if it is only tanks. At the same time, the division into four classes remains in place, and the cost of using Ultimates during the event has been reduced - as it was before the start of the ninth season.

In the update are available 12 original maps from the first part of the patch 1.0. The event formats are also familiar to fans. These are Assault with capturing or defending two control points, Control, where two squads fight for one point to hold it as long as possible, Escort with escorting cargo around the location, and Hybrid, which combines the rules from Assault and Escort. Access to these battles is available directly from the main menu and will remain active until December 2nd.
