War Thunder now without kamikazes

After adding a few interesting vehicles as part of their collaboration with Atomic Heart, the developers of the War Thunder multiplayer action game are back to fixing bugs and tweaking their project in every way possible. In the update, Gaijin studio employees offer changes in the pilot experience, improved laser beam missile guidance and the abolition of the realistic effect of the transition of planes to supersonic speed.

What changed in War Thunder with the release of the patch?

The first thing that changes is the life of the pilots. Now the enemy ground vehicles' markers are closed for them, so that fighters are engaged in performing tasks in the sky (like covering bombers) and do not try to attack something below in kamikaze style at every chance. At the same time, the automatic ejection has been redone, which is triggered after the flying vehicle receives critical damage. Previously, in this case, a timer was started, then the character was ejected with a parachute from the cockpit, and the player returned to the menu to select a technique. But the system did not always behave correctly, so from now on the catapult can be launched with a single button press - without waiting for the completion of the countdown.

Beam guidance was also changed. Here, too, there is a timer, which limits the time window for launching missiles at the same target. In the original version gamers had to guess how many more can be fired before the already fired missiles start to lose the beam, but now everything has become clearer. Adding to the list of innovations are the condensate cones around the fighters' hulls after they overcome the sound barrier. From now on they are displayed not during the whole flight at supersonic speed, but only at the moment of transition to it.
