Monsters and rains in the ICARUS gameplay trailer
The authors of multiplayer survival simulator from RocketWerkz studio presented a video with a demonstration of how their project will change after the release of the New Frontiers update. Gamers are promised several biomes with monsters, remodeled forges with workshops, changing weather conditions and more than a hundred types of weapons. Since there are a few days left before the release of the update, it's high time to tell about the upcoming changes.
"New Frontiers" in ICARUS - what can we expect by September?
New Frontiers is scheduled for release on August 24, but users are being prepared for the changes already now. The fresh video clearly demonstrates three biomes (swamp, rocky desert and tundra) with different landscapes and wild inhabitants, and at the same time - some types of weapons that will be available in the patch. The developers have also announced a forge, stone and foundry workshops of the third level, which was required by the logic of crafting mechanics, as well as the need to save space on the floor in the shelter. But some changes can be appreciated right now, because with their help the public is being prepared for the release of the add-on.
Among these edits it is worth noting the "Throw" option, which is now tied to the Q button by default. In addition, building components are now grouped into sets rather than presented individually, which reduces the consumption of points and blueprints. For example, from a single found blueprint you can open several different modules for the house instead of one, as it was before. The developers have also tweaked the balance by reducing the number of aggressive creatures in the locations and increasing the number of passive ones, so that the heroes can explore the map in a more peaceful environment.
