Guild Wars 2 will get another story chapter in a month

The adventure Secrets of the Obscure will complement the MMORPG Guild Wars 2 at the end of August, at the same time putting an end to the cycle End of Dragons. Employees of the ArenaNet studio have already shared some details about the update. In addition to adventures, vehicles for moving through the air, jewelry collections, mechanics for fixing rifts between worlds, challenges and other missions will be available. Let's discuss each of these items in more detail.

The story will be available to users immediately after the release of the patch - August 22, 2023, and then it will be supplemented by monthly updates. Events will unfold in two locations and the Wizard's Tower outpost, soaring high above the Tyrian coast. Once again evil is attacking the peaceful cities, so the defenders of everything good will have a tough battle. And they will be helped by Skyscale - heavenly racers, which the developers will provide all gamers who own any of the collections, whether it's Path of Fire or Secrets of the Obscure. Flying skills can be increased as the character develops - for this purpose there are special skills, such as Fireball or Air Rescue.

A couple more skill branches will make it easier to pass the main missions. In battles against monsters, heroes will acquire two powerful allies. Thanks to them you will gain access to a powerful artifact called the Heart of Darkness. This, in turn, allows you to close portals from the evil universe to Tyria. At the same time you'll be offered to pass tests for an extra reward. One of them, by the way, is available right now - they decided to present it to the public to try it out.
