War of the Worlds and Guns in Guild Wars 2
ArenaNet employees continue to equip the heroes of their MMORPG with firearms. After rifles, dual pistols have been announced, which will be adopted by the Guardians in 2024. The developers have also taken seriously the confrontations of the WvW format, that is, "World vs World". This part of the game will soon be radically redesigned and presented to the public. We tell you more about the upcoming changes.
What to expect from Guild Wars 2 next year?
It all starts with the Guild Hall, where gamers let their creativity run wild and create their own competitions - from bug racing and soccer to puzzles. In January it will be possible to create PvP and WvW events, including aerial duels in arenas. The second important aspect is the balance of inter-server confrontations. Previously, little attention was paid to it, because of which some teams turned out to be weak and others - too strong. To solve the problem, the designers are introducing "World Restructuring", which will be tested in beta format at first. Finally, there will be a mechanic of transfer between teams within each individual alliance (now the limit of characters in them is 500). All these changes will also come into effect in the first quarter of 2024.
In addition, the Secrets of the Obscure add-on will receive such weapons as paired Guardian pistols. Like rifles, these guns will allow you to shoot monsters from afar, bleed them and leave burns. The main attack is called "Through the Heart" - it's a single shot that not only hits the enemy, but also causes a bleeding effect. And the most remarkable thing is that one such projectile can penetrate up to five enemies at a time, if they are in the line of fire. Another technique, the "Ignition Symbol," adds fire to normal wounds. More details will be revealed to those who watch the developer's broadcast on November 27.
