The release of Gray Zone Warfare is a disappointment

on April 30, multiplayer action game by Czech company Madfinger became available in Steam store. The game, presented in several versions with different prices, gathered mixed reviews - the public's indignation was caused by software flaws and poor optimization. Although even before the release the shooter was predicted to be the "Escape from Tarkov killer", now it became clear that the developers will have to work hard to win the people's love.

What is known about Gray Zone Warfare so far?

The events of the game are dedicated to the confrontation of private military companies on a fictional island in Southeast Asia - in the Democratic Republic of Lamang. The map of this state occupies 42 square kilometers. Gamers have to explore locations, fight with rivals, collect loot and leave the mission zone, where initially everyone is thrown by helicopter. As in EFT, the characters have a detailed inventory with the ability to collect equipment and guns to their liking, and also subtly simulates the health of each fighter. The loss of equipment after a hero's death is a matter of course. In total, there can be up to 48 connections on the server, not counting the thousands of bots under the control of AI.

The main problem of the game is its optimization - even owners of advanced video cards complain about stuttering. Also users are dissatisfied with the network code, frequent bugs and raw animations. At the same time, within a day the reviews have become from purely negative to mixed, that is, there are enough positive assessments. The project is still in early access, and its authors have time to bring their creation to mind. Against this background looks strange release of three editions at once at a price from 1200 to 2290 rubles.
