The big trailer for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail has been released
Square Enix is getting fans of its MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV ready for a new adventure. Although Dawntrail is due out in the summer of 2024, a lot is already known about it, and at the ongoing fan festival in Tokyo, they even showed a video that shows a tropical island location, a city, huge monsters and characters. It's time to find out more about what is known about the announced DLC so far.
What to expect from Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail in 2024?
The update promises two professions - Viper and Pictomancer. Representatives of the former rely on dexterity in handling paired blades, and the latter defeat enemies through multi-colored streams of magic. Also, for the first time in the game is promised the appearance of female Hrothgarians as selectable characters. We are talking about the representatives of the anthropomorphic cat race - like the kajitas from The Elder Scrolls world. Other changes are expected in the project: raising the maximum level from 90 to 100, the appearance of two cities, Tuliyollal and Soluchen-9, as well as dungeons, equipment sets, crafting recipes and potions.
Three raids will be unlocked - Arcadion for normal groups, Echoes of Vana'diel for alliance representatives, and another Ultimate raid. The trailer showed off some of the ginormous bosses and character skills, and at the same time showed off areas with unique decorations - such as Urqopacha, Yak T'el, and the Heritage Found. The footage also shows fresh field operations like hunting and the start of treasure hunting quests. While the video doesn't reflect the quality of the final version of the project, graphical improvements based on the Unreal engine are promised.
