Raiding, quests, festivals: EverQuest roadmap published

The employees of Darkpaw Games have shared with the fans the development plans of their project for 2023. It is noteworthy that EverQuest is one of the oldest MMORPG on the market: it was released in 1999, has changed developers and publisher several times, as well as the engine. But the classic is still popular, as evidenced by the constant changes in the game. Let's see what awaits it in the coming months.

What to expect from EverQuest in the beginning of the year?

The first thing the developers noted was that they closed the roadmap for 2022 completely, although it was an experimental decision - Darkpaw had never shared plans for the year with the public before. And since the experience was a success, it was logical to continue it. In January, gamers will receive a first level raid from the Night of Shadows add-on. The next month will please us with Erollisi Day celebration and the second level of Night of Shadows content. Spring will greet the audience with the third level of the same set of battles and special missions, timed to mark the 24th anniversary of EverQuest.

In April the project will begin reworking the technical part, aimed at adjusting the interface to the capabilities of the new engine. And in May, players will take part in Tempest, which will return to the MMORPG after a long break. In summer the public will be treated to a server merge and content for Stone Cold Summer, and the fall will begin with a beta test of the 2023 add-on and the DirectX 11 API port. More details can be found on the roadmap pictured here or on the official developer website.
