Spring has sprung in Escape from Tarkov

Battlestate Games has released patch 0.14.5.0 for its multiplayer action game Escape from Tarkov. In it, the public can expect changes to the most popular maps, work on the sound design and interface, as well as a full-fledged system of changing seasons - in addition to the choice of time of day before the match. So far only spring is available (which is logical), but that's a start. The game has also received a number of minor fixes - let's tell you all about it in order.

What's changing in Escape from Tarkov in April?

Seasons affect not only the design of locations, but also the weather effects and special sounds characteristic of a particular season. At the moment spring is presented, and the other seasons will be added with the next updates. As for other improvements, the "Forest" map now features an APC-82A, which stops at key points like the sawmill, checkpoints and the EMERCOM base. And in "Epicenter" the selection of players has changed: now newcomers can't get into the same battle with gamers who have reached level 21 or higher. At the same time, experienced shooters will face more difficult bots, find loot unavailable to new recruits, and get an increased probability of a skirmish with Kollontai. Going into the match as a feral, all of these rules are waived.

The developers added daily missions to the fighter and made changes to the soundtrack, from rain and wind sounds to muffling effects through closed doors of buildings or inside APCs. The interface underwent minor changes - like the fact that the values of bonuses are now displayed down to tenths, and in the description of any ammunition you can see what class of armor it can penetrate. Work on bugs touched the movement on the terrain: it became easier for heroes to climb obstacles, and bots learned to build a better route.
