Ducks rule the world at Duckside

Блог
Studio tinyBuild announced an unusual multiplayer survival simulator, where all the heroes are ducks. They not only fly and quack, but also shoot guns, collect resources and build different buildings. It could be taken as a joke for April 1, but the game already has a page in Steam, and its beta testing will start on April 18. The company that produces the "feathered" action movie is also a no-nonsense one - suffice it to say that its employees are responsible for Hello Neighbor. Let's tell you what we know about this funny project at the moment.

What's interesting about Duckside?

The action takes place in the open world, on an island, where ducks fight among themselves in PvP mode and have fights with human characters in PvE. Birds cannon all kinds of guns, carry helmets and ammo, but they have a natural advantage - the ability to fly. Therefore, each hero can become both a bomber and a fighter. Battles in the sky are naturally attached. Outside of combat, nothing prevents you from collecting supplies, chopping trees and chiseling rocks to build your own base and improve your equipment. Sanctuary, just like in Rust, is a fortress, the owner of which must repel attacks from neighbors, strengthen the walls and put on all entrances code locks.

Users can join squads to make friends or fight each other - each server supports up to 50 connections. Members of the group distribute resources among themselves, improving weapons and equipment items, as well as create caches where the team's treasures are stored. The third-person and first-person view (during shooting) is available in the action game, and participants of the beta test will find out how everything is organized here. To sign up for it, you need to click "Request Access" on the Duckside page in the Steam store.
