The battle goes on again: the announcement of an add-on for Destiny 2

The developers of multiplayer shooter Destiny 2 hasn't had any loud news for a long time. But recently studio Bungie announced an add-on called "Lightfall". This will be the seventh story campaign of its kind, added to the main game - after Curse of Osiris, The Warmind, Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light and The Witch Queen. Notably, the announced chapter is meant to set the stage for both parts of the space action game.

In general terms, the scenario of the add-on is known: the enemies attack the Neptunian city of Neomuna, glowing with neon on the high-rise buildings, and the heroes must again save the universe from evil forces. This time they are opposed by the Legion of Shadows. The developers have invented three new specialties for Warlock, Hunter and Titan classes - Architect, Threadrunner and Tyrant - to give gamers the opportunity to give the enemy a decent rebuff. The first has telekinesis, the second wields a whip, which on occasion is used as a hook-cat, and the third grows special combat claws.

Also the staff of Bungie promises a new team raid and a key to the dungeons of the 21st and 23rd seasons, where the heroes will be awarded with exotic weapons. The addition will be available in two editions - standard and Annual Pass. The difference between them is not only in the amount of content, but also the cost - although the game itself is free, it is necessary to buy story campaigns. The "Lightfall" release is scheduled for February 22, 2023.
