An entire island is going to be added to DayZ

Bohemia Interactive has announced a big expansion for its multiplayer action game. In DLC Frostline the heroes get to the Sahal Archipelago, where mountains rise, forests rumble, deer graze and snow falls. But there are also traces of human activity on the location: there are rusting ships in the port, and on the land you can see the hulks of industrial buildings. The developers promise to release the update this fall, but for now we can tell you in more detail what we know about it at the moment.

The addition will be paid - today it can be added to the desired, and later its cost will be known. Among its key features, the developers call the type of terrain. It's about a volcanic archipelago somewhere in the Far East. The slopes of dormant volcanoes are covered with snow, and the attentive researcher will find ice lakes. At the same time the most severe test for survival lovers is promised: there will be environmental hazards, cold, hunger, and disease - the last factor has not been in the game before, it is a surprise from Bohemia Interactive employees. In addition to hunting, fishing will be added to the online action movie, and the equipment list will be supplemented with special winter clothes.

The area of Sahal is 83 square kilometers, so the map promises to be very extensive. On it, of course, you will meet characters controlled by other players, and ordinary zombies. But such meetings are not new for the fans of the game. But the tasks promised are not the most ordinary. They will include the search for equipment for harsh climatic conditions, and the study of the mysteries of the desert expanses. As expressed by the authors of the action movie, these missions are arranged in such a way that gamers will reconsider their usual style of behavior in DayZ.
