New World is testing expeditions between worlds

Employees of the Amazon Games studio announced that on January 19 in their MMORPG New World will test a new mechanic - the invasion of heroes from one server to another. Especially for this purpose was launched test reality (PTR), access to the client of which should have all owners of the original game. In addition, the developers promised to improve the group search, so that everyone can easily find a company. We tell you how to take part in this event.

It is clear that this is still an experiment - before implementing the function, it should be properly presented to the public and preliminary tests should be carried out. That's what the test server is for. It is already active: to get to it, you need to go to the Steam library, download New World Public Test Realm and run it like any other program. All New World owners should have this client by default. Next, gamers will get acquainted with inter-world expeditions and improved group selection algorithm. You'll start on a completely new character, since you can't transfer ready-made heroes to PTR. All participants will be given an instant upgrade, so you don't have to waste time on side activities. In addition, a lot of stashes are promised, the opening of which will allow you to equip your warriors as you wish.

To search for partners some complex operations in the lobby are not required. You can do it in a few mouse clicks: go to the Activities menu, find the Mutated Expeditions tab and click the Random button to take your turn. The developers immediately warn that not everyone will be able to get instant access to the content because of the queues. After the test is over, the Amazon Games team will shut down the PTR server, collect all critical comments and include the changes in one of the patches.
