Krafton, known for PUBG and Subnautica, is now a household name. And this is no surprise, because the American branch of the publishing house is busy releasing The Callisto Protocol, and the Canadian one was assigned to develop an MMORPG based on the popular in Korea book series "The Bird Who Drinks Tears". The project already has a website, the first trailer and a set of sketches, but no name yet.

The "Bird That Drinks Tears" series is by the Korean writer Lee Youngdo, whose books have been translated into many languages, including Russian. The author works in the genre of fantasy with a strong oriental bias. Therefore, the fabulous races he created have little in common with traditional elves and dwarves, and the characters are inspired not by European epic, but by Far Eastern folklore. For example, in the video and in the artwork, we see rekkons, a people of anthropomorphic roosters. They are known as warriors, making their own weapons and wandering through cities and towns in search of worthy opponents. The novels also mention common people, nagas and tokebis - goblins who like to joke and play with fire.
This is the kind of world populated by fairy tale creatures that Krafton's artists and screenwriters are now creating. The video, just published on YouTube, shows the first images of the characters and tells about their personal features. But there's no other information about the project, including its name and release date, yet - to get news about the development progress, just visit the official website and subscribe to the newsletter.
