PUBG: Battlegrounds authors share their plans
Barely beginning to celebrate its eighth anniversary, the famous online fighting game PUBG: Battlegrounds has also acquired a roadmap. The employees of Krafton published it to prepare the fans of the game for even greater achievements. We would like to point out that among the planned features are new modes, numerous map edits, improved interactive elements, high-level content and collaborations. And if you are interested in details, we'll tell you about them a little bit below.
How will PUBG: Battlegrounds change in the near future?

First of all, the developers express their gratitude to everyone who supported their project and participated in virtual battles for eight years. In 2025, the team's efforts will be focused on three areas: content production, improving the live service and creating long-term mechanics that will not be written off for lack of use in a year or two. No one plans to release new maps, but the old ones will be improved. Expectedly announced development of the destruction system on Taego, Erangel and Miramar. As for other ways of interacting with objects, there will be increased freedom of behavior in transport - like throwing objects and opening doors. Over the course of the year, there will be more of everything in the locations. Separately worth noting gas tanks - if you blow them up, a smoke screen will appear.
Serious changes are also coming in terms of modes. The old battle formats will remain in place, but they will be accompanied by experimental "Project Cyclops" and SLB: Miramar. And there will also be a Payday heist battle developed with Starbreeze Entertainment, but it will be shown next year. In terms of collaborations, two partnerships with luxury car manufacturers are announced for 2024. User-generated content will be further developed, and in addition, changes will be made to the balance, clan mechanics and AI behavior. The alpha version of PUBG UGC will help to solve the problem with innovations - here regular gamers will be able to customize everything to their liking, and then offer it to the developers.
