Armored Warfare is covered with "Shockwave"
For a long time nothing was heard about Armored Warfare, an online action game created by the developers from Obsidian Entertainment. But recently it received the biggest update for the last few years. Users got access to PvE-mode "Shockwave", a lot of different military equipment, including Armata tank in "Battlemate" camouflage, cosmetic changes of maps, destructible buildings, sound design edits and most importantly - disabling in the menu to fire on your own. We tell you more about what's going on with the game today.
Details of "Shockwave" in Armored Warfare
In the new format battles you will have to gather a squad of four tanks of level 10 and protect the factory from the enemy attack. AI-controlled vehicles attack in waves, sending forward scouts, so the team will need to work together. Combat is timed: the longer you fight back, the bigger the reward. At the same time, there are no revival points - the destroyed equipment leaves the battlefield for good. But the ammunition of the defenders of the strategic object is replenished automatically.
The map "El Arish" has undergone changes. It now has more details, and the industrial zone is decorated with the remains of abandoned machines. But the main innovation is destructible objects. You can break through the walls of houses with tanks to create improvised shelters or passages to the enemy during the match. Another fresh solution is dynamic decals - they are allowed to move on the armor, rotate and scale.
The engine sounds have undergone a major revision, primarily for the T-72 and its Chinese counterparts, as well as for the T-90 and Msta-S. The hitting effect of PELE shells for autocannons has been enhanced and fire correction has been introduced. Previously, even an accidental hit on an ally led to the removal of the gamer from the session, but now Friendly Fire can be simply activated or disabled in the settings. Finally, the addition of drones - both reconnaissance and strike drones - is promised for November.
