Big changes are coming to Albion Online
Employees of the company Sandbox Interactive promise that on January 8, 2024 their MMORPG Albion Online will enter a new era, because the game will be released add-on "Crystal Raiders". It will completely change the rules of guild wars and the principles of territory control, as well as add challenges, weapons and bonuses. The developers have published some details of the upcoming changes in advance - let's discuss them in detail.
What will change in Albion Online in early 2024?
Territory raids in "Crystal Raiders" will be linked to the energy synthesized by the lands of Albion and collected by special storages in the possessions of one or another faction. Every day at a certain time these storages can be attacked, having destroyed the mages guarding the structure beforehand. If the attack is successful, the attacking team will receive 50% of all the collected energy, but it must still be brought to their possessions, otherwise the loot will be returned. On the other hand, any of the guilds are free to act as defenders of the vault to gain rewards and damage their opponents.
In order to prevent any army from guarding territories around the clock, a prime time of one hour per day will be introduced when guilds are allowed to engage in military activity. Also, territories will have a holding cost - the closer the area is to the portal cities, the higher the cost of control. In addition, the value of lands is directly related not only to the amount of raw energy flowing into local storage, but also to the strength of the guards. If a group of users cannot keep a large number of such points under their power, any of the territories can be voluntarily given up.
