"Foundations" is already in Albion Online

Sandbox Interactive has released an add-on called Foundations for its MMORPG Albion Online. As fans of the game know, the developers prepared this update for a long time, telling about some of its nuances in special videos on YouTube. And now everyone can finally get acquainted with it. The main emphasis here is on the struggle for territories by building and developing fortresses, as well as their capture by one of the opposing armies. Battles for territories are based on the fact that one side posts possessions and the other side attacks them in order to capture them. At the same time, the defenders are free not only to build fortifications and appoint guards, but also to improve all this economy. Each of the disputed locations generates defense points, which are retained even after a change of landowner. These points determine in advance what exactly can be built here. After preparation, a 30-minute countdown to prime time starts, when the gates close and a force shield rises above the walls - it can be weakened by raising a siege flag, which signals the beginning of the assault. If such a flag reaches the tower, victory is awarded to the attackers.

It is also noteworthy that the contents of chests with rewards directly depends on the activity of guilds in the region. In other words, the more serious the members of the group are about their land management tasks, the richer the trophies that will go to their enemy in case of success. It's also interesting that location owners can't open this chest - it's only available as loot. In addition to fighting for territories, Foundation adds an Arena duel observer mode, new crystal weapons, tweaks to the Black Zone stalking mechanics, minor changes to crafting and combat balance.
