Albion Online authors share their plans for 2024

After the release of the "Wild Blood" update, Sandbox Interactive employees made conclusions, worked on mistakes and prepared, based on the experience gained, the next roadmap. They told about their plans in a special diary. We share with you the main theses of this address and find out how the fantasy MMORPG Albion Online will change next year.

The Sandbox team first made it clear that the release of Wild Blood took much longer than originally planned. This is due to a number of factors: the game immediately introduced several fundamentally new mechanics, including tracking and awakened weapons, in addition to several problems created by the launch of Eastern Albion. Having made the necessary conclusions, the developers decided to change the rules of preparing updates. From January 1, they will be released together with the seasons - about one every three months. Their volume will be smaller, so that only one aspect of the game, a separate function or mechanics can be finalized at a time.

The next update is scheduled for January. It will be dedicated to guilds: gamers will be able to receive additional rewards for helping their faction to move up the seasonal rankings. The method of getting points produced by the territories under your control will also be changed, and raids into the lands of foreign alliances will become more active, because additional bonuses will be awarded for success in them. To increase the competition for power cores, the regular and main shelters will be remodeled.
