This is a fascinating detective story with mystical elements. At the beginning of the 16th century, the Spanish conquered the Aztec lands. The soldiers of Fernando Cortez managed to seize the countless treasures of the Indians, but they acted so cruelly and unscrupulously that they fell under the curse called "the disease of the green-eyed devil". Many Spaniards died because of it, and they never succeeded in getting rid of the curse
Lord Scofield, a rogue but adoring antiquity, had already learned of this legend in modern times. As soon as he heard the myth, he immediately sent an expedition to Mexico. The head of the archaeological team was Professor Jones. The expedition was successful, and the professor discovered the coveted treasures, and with them the virus, which was to help the Indians destroy the greedy invaders.
Scofield's daughter Mary accidentally dropped the green crystal and fell ill with an unfamiliar disease. Later it became clear that it was the virus, which the Indians kept in such a strange way. The medics tried to do everything in their power, but they had little success. Lord Scofield himself went in search of the antidote in the hope that he would be able to deliver it in time. He began his search in the place where the ancient city, where both the poison and the antidote had been created, was supposedly located. In the course of his search, the unfortunate father became involved with the Millennium Brotherhood, a secret group whose aims are far from humane. If Scofield is looking for a cure, the Brotherhood's representatives dream of getting their hands on the virus.
Professor Jones realizes that things may not end too well, so he tried to find all the poison capsules and took them to the States. There he calls a detective acquaintance, Kate McCormick, to whom he complains that he is being followed in order to take away the case, which should actually be turned over to the government. That's where you finally come in.
You need to help Kate make sense of the confusing case and restore the integrity of the whole picture of events. Bravely go to the Professor's secret vault, be sure to visit the castle of the smuggler Lord, and pay attention to the headquarters of the secret brotherhood. You'll have to unravel all the Aztec secrets, find the professor and save poor Mary.
