You will be controlling the tank, being in the cockpit. He will be placed in a convenient location on the city street, choosing a suitable fighting position for firing on the clay giants, who behave very aggressively and want to destroy the city. When monsters will see the tank, they will immediately move straight at him, well, you have only to point the muzzle of your tank on one, then another enemy, and periodically fire at them. Projectiles will destroy golems' bodies, if you'll be a good marksman and won't start shooting just wherever. Note that you get points not for the used projectile, but for the killed enemy. For these points you can then exchange ammunition.
