The Atomic Heart and Warface collaboration has begun

The authors of the famous Russian shooter, where Major Nechaev fights robots in an alternate USSR world, have just released a major expansion for their game. On this occasion, they decided to arrange a collaboration with the developers of another shooter, but a multiplayer one. Thus, in the universe of Warface, the map «Atomgrad» appeared, designed in a retrofuturism style familiar to gamers, and a new event «Bright Past» with PvP battles and special rewards. We'll tell you in more detail what activities await fans of the genre on the eve of winter.

The confrontation between factions has moved to the streets of Atomgrad, where Soviet monuments, red flags, and kiosks coexist with robots and cyberpunk-style decorations. This map doesn't make it into ranked matches, but it is available in all other modes, including «Quick Play». The terrain has many shelters and even underground passages so that gamers can demonstrate tactical skills, and there are also «Easter eggs» related to Major Nechaev's adventures — whoever discovers them will receive a reward. The developers believe that the location added to the shooter will become a favorite spot for PvP battles.

Among the modes, first of all, it's worth noting «Extraction», organized according to the rules of «Team Battle». Match participants need to take control of certain points, while simultaneously collecting ingots from safes and turning them in for rewards. To win, a squad must accumulate 176 ingots — as soon as one of the companies reaches this result, the competition will end. Also, a special event operation has become available, during which you can earn interesting skins for guns, and even a polymer glove that can become a decent melee weapon.
