"Mir Tankov" instead of World of Tanks. What's going on?

The most popular tank and naval combat simulators are about to be updated. The fact is that the rights to World of Tanks and World of Warships in Russia and Belarus in the spring of this year went to the company Lesta Games. And recently its staff announced plans to rebrand both projects. Let's find out what will happen to the games in the near future.

Back on March 31, the management of Wargaming announced the company's departure from the Russian and Belarusian markets, as well as the closure of its central office in Minsk. In April, it became known that the rights to publish the studio's games were transferred to Lesta Games, whose employees immediately announced their intention to develop the intellectual property they had inherited. As it turned out, the development includes some changes. In particular, the other day the developers announced that the two multiplayer action games now have new names - "Mir Tankov" and "Mir Korabley". At the same time the mobile World of Tanks: Blitz will retain the Latin alphabet in his name. It will become just Tanks Blitz.

Also with main game's pages on the Internet domain names will be changed - to Korabli.su, Tanki.su and tanksblitz.ru. The mobile version will be available on all popular platforms, including brand store HUAWEI and Lesta Game Center. At the same time the new rights holder assures the public that the open vehicles, virtual resources and crews will remain untouched. No global changes to the games are planned yet.
