Warface heroes are already celebrating Halloween

The month is still far from over, but the developers of the first-person online shooter are already decorating the levels in an eerie style and releasing zombies onto the battlefield. Among the decorations, pumpkin lanterns glow, the undead roam everywhere, and flying saucers hang in the sky. So the fighters are in for unusual shootouts, including the PvP mode "Infection". In addition, a character with the callsign Vrubel was announced, who will be added to the game on October 21. Let's take a closer look at these and other changes in Warface.

Details of the "World 51" event in Warface

"Infection" is a team battle with asymmetric gameplay. All match participants are divided into two teams: the humans must fend off zombies, while the latter must infect as many survivors as possible. The infected are forced to switch teams and fight against their former allies. Rounds last four minutes, and at the beginning of each one, three players from the human group are chosen to be turned into the undead. Over time, the walking dead become more and more numerous, they are divided into types (from ordinary to powerful) and get weapons such as gas grenades in their hands. The survivors, in turn, also have power-ups to continue the fight — such as the self-reloading "Gunslinger" revolver or the six-barreled "Juggernaut" machine gun. Victory is awarded based on the number of points earned or after one of the sides is destroyed.

The new mode can be played on special versions of the "Motel", "Suburb" and "Ruins" maps, specially decorated for Halloween. The developers specifically warn about the jump scares placed on the levels, which can frighten a nervous shooter. Among the rewards for success in matches are guns styled after the "Alien": the OTs-14 "Groza", Sentry 12, TX-15 SBR and Truvelo CMS 20x42. There are also prizes for everyone, regardless of participation in the activities, as well as bonuses and achievements for weekly contracts.
