Dune: Awakening celebrates its first anniversary

Exactly one year has passed since the release of the MMO game Dune: Awakening based on Frank Herbert's epic 'Dune'. On this occasion, developers from Funcom announced the start of an event that will last until July 10. Throughout the month, users will receive gifts and prizes for participating in themed activities. The routine work on improving the project is not forgotten either — update 1.4.10.0 has already been uploaded to the test servers. What does it bring to the heroes' adventures on the planet Arrakis?

Activities with earning rewards are distributed throughout the festive month by weeks. That is, gamers are given seven days to obtain one or more items, and all twenty-eight are needed to collect the full collection. Right now, for example, kitchen decorations for your base and a dunemaster's outfit (light armor) are given for points — this is a person engaged in searching for and harvesting Spice in the desert. The second week will bring other artifacts that will allow you to beautifully decorate a tea house. During the third week, it will be possible to get a table and a tea set, and the fourth will complete the set with a fresco and a baliset. This way, everyone can make their shelter not only reliable but also tastefully decorated. In addition, for the duration of the promotion, accelerated progress is promised for completing missions for different Landsraad factions.

Also, with the update, five additional quests became available in the Hagga Basin and on the Smugglers' Route. So that users do not use a tactic in PvP where a whole squad could jump down onto opponents from a flying ornithopter, this moment was made more realistic. You can still climb onto the vehicle, as well as stand on it at low movement speed, but during acceleration, all such 'passengers' are now simply blown off the hull.
